Staff Accountant

Overview is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team. 

Compiles, reviews and reconciles the information necessary to issue the customer invoices. Tracks and calculates commissions to be paid to employees on the various sales teams. Assists with responding to customer inquiries and information requests. Provides support for month-end and year-end closings, financial statement preparation and preparing for audits. 


  • Processes monthly data reports from the Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software system and the data warehouse to compile, analyze, reconcile and prepare billing reports necessary for issuing customer invoices 
  • Researches and resolves any discrepancies between Salesforce CRM and data warehouse 
  • Maintains close working relationship with the Sales Operations Team and Senior Accountant to validate data integrity of the billing information 
  • Assists the Senior Accountant with responding to customer inquiries and information requests within a 48 hour period 
  • Compile data and calculate commissions to be paid to the various sales teams on the last pay date of each month 
  • Prepare and issue monthly comprehensive commissions report to be submitted to Payroll 
  • Prepare detailed monthly commission reports for each salesperson which matches the amount on each paycheck 
  • Provides support for month-end and year-end closings and financial statement preparation 
  • Provides support for preparing for audits 
  • Contributes to the Finance Team’s standard of being a top-rate service department


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required 
  • 3+ years experience in accounting or related field 
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software strongly preferred 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality 
  • Experience with NetSuites Accounting system preferred
